No heating of any kind in the room, it was cold at night, unbelievable for a 4 star hotel and 280usd per night. Located 10m from railway (yes, you can nearly touch the train if you open the window), and at the very bank of noisy river, it makes sleeping impossible if you don't have ear plugs. Both noise and cold are due to windows that have no seals, you can feel fresh air coming inside all the time. Absolute scandal, avoid !
Stayed in room 401 spectacular view from small balcony room had a fireplace and the staff assisted with starting the fire, good basic breakfast
Very nice location, especially if you get a riverside room. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The staff offered to make us breakfast at 4:30 A.M. so we could get an early start.
I think all the hotels in the Machu Picchu area are overpriced. This hotel is in good repair and does not have the musty smell some hotels in this area have. It is not a luxury site, just a well kept place in a unique area.
The beds were very comfortable, much better than the ones we had in Cusco, the bathrooms were very modern and clean. We had a great view of the river. Our first day there, we missed breakfast so they gave us a free lunch at the restaurant a few doors down (called TOTO's Restaurant), which had live music and a very good buffett. The next morning we left to walk up to Machu Picchu at 430 and they had a breakfast To-Go box ready for us with plenty of food. We requested a room on the river side (the other side is next to the railroad tracks) and they granted that. Also, we changed the dates of our travel by 2 days and they did not charge us a cancellation fee for the first 2 days, even though we switched rooms the day before.
Stay was overall very good, however we did not have hot water on the second morning of our stay. Although we had set an alarm, we requested a wake up call which we received 30 minutes after our requested time. The room(numero 202) was a little loud - there was a perpetual thumping during the day; we think it was due to the water heater or something.
The hotel was incredible. The rooms were a great size and the bathroom was fantastic. We had a riverside room and it was wonderful (if you have a choice choose a riverside room). The staff was excellent and very friendly. We were able to store our bags at the hotel while we hiked Machu Picchu.
Nothing - it was fantastic
Good room, great location, try to get rooms to the riverside, good shower, clean room.
They convert the room rates from dollars to soles at their own rate, complete absurd! Besides, room is overpriced, I guess all hotels in Aguas Calientes are.
Nice room with fireplace and huge jacuzzi. Great location.
Most of the staff does not speak any English. Although willing to help, service level does not fit a hotel of this price category.
The hotel looks new. The rooms are big and with all the services you need (WiFi, cable TV, breakfast, etc). Very well located.
Rooms that have street view can be noisy as they are next to the railroad.
Hotel was very nice and they gave us a very warm welcome. Rooms very comfortable. Breakfast very good, owner made us feel very welcome and wanted that our stay was memorable. Very well situated, 2 minutes from bus and train station for Machu Picchu Very comfortable beds and very friendly staff. Highly recommendable.
Excellent customer service from the staff at Hatun Inti Machcupicchu Hotel. Our room was noisy due to building work next door. Within minutes of speaking to the staff our room was changed and we were offered a complimentary dinner at the hotel. The room was much larger and well appointed than expected which was a nice surprise! Large and comfortable king size bed, fireplace, large flat screen Tv and spa in the bathroom. Highly recommend this hotel.
No 110 in the room
Hatun Inti is centrally located and close to the train station and to the bus to Machu Picchu. We asked for a river facing room, which we received, and this was very quiet with only the soothing noise from the river and no noise from the busy street in front of the Hotel. Staff were friendly and very accommodating: we had problems with our WiFi connections and we were given several usernames and passwords until it worked. It was raining on the day we left, and we were able to sit in the reception area after checking out, while still using the internet. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, sheets and towels were clean, and breakfast was simple but good.
This is a basic hotel that charges like a five-star facility. The room was reasonably spacious but very basic, no air conditioning and a fireplace for heating. The window had large gaps and did not seal properly. Furniture and fittings look tired and old. There were no additional facilities eg outside space, gym etc. The breakfast area is small and is basically part of the reception. Space was not a problem when we visited, as the hotel was almost empty, but it would become crowded very quickly. We were asked to reconfirm our booking by email one day before our arrival. Luckily I was in email contact and I was able to reply, or we might not have found a room! We were surprised to be asked to pay the bill at check-in, as this did not appear in the conditions when we booked. In summary, the service was acceptable, but the cost of the hotel was about twice of what it should be, even for Aguas Calientes. We had just had a fantastic stay in a five-star hotel in Lima, with incredible facilities, and paid less than what we paid at Hatun Inti.
Close by the station, well decorated, spacious room and bathroom, clean.
The illumination of the room could be improved by adding a bright central lighting fixture that can be turned on seperately when needed.
Comfortable rooms, quick reasonably priced laundry service, good breakfast, good central location
